The best test of a cuddly toy is whether it's good for a cuddle! We can confirm that despite inner electronic workings, Alfie is really nice and soft (we tested Alfie but there's an Alice bear too that looks just as nice).
In addition to this, there are lots of things you can do with the bear without activating any electronic functions, such as unfastening and fastening his shoes with velcro and laces, taking his handkerchief and teddy out of his pockets (both attached with string to prevent losses) and putting his glove on and off.
When batteries are inserted, there are five buttons to press that teach children the names of the corresponding body parts and there are a variety of fun phrases, sounds and songs for children to enjoy.
They all seemed to get quite attached to Alfie. It's the kind of toy that little ones loved to cuddle at night and that they then played with quietly in the cot when they woke up in the morning.
What our reviewers said: "This is going to bed with him every night now", "There's a surprising amount to do. The bear also has a nice face".
