A very happy couple
To celebrate the forthcoming marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Early Learning Centre has produced a Royal Wedding playset. The toy is part of the extremely popular Happyland range, which is aimed at children of around 18 months.
The happiest people in all of Happyland are the happy couple themselves, designed to look just like a slightly chunkier version of the real bride and groom. Will’s parents – the Queen and Prince Phillip – are standing chubbily and proudly by too, dressed in their wedding finery.
Transport to the wedding involves a shiny gold-trimmed coach, drawn by a very strong little carriage horse. Also included in the set, which is priced around £15, is a mounted royal guard to keep an eye on things as the carriage travels through the streets, a foot soldier dressed in the traditional red jacket and bearskin hat and one of the queen’s beloved pet corgis.
