Shains World
Shains is the latest line of collectible and customisable jewellery. With a strong eco-friendly message (the range is made from recycled materials) Shains should appeal to both boys and girls thanks to the range of customising ‘icons’ available.
Distributed in the UK by Tick Tock Trading, the starting point for each creation is a recycled rubber base in the form of a bracelet, necklace, brooch, cuff or keyring. The Shains icons then attach through holes punched into the rubber.
Icons come in a range of 12 funky colours (with names like sun, earth and grass) and themes (including ‘girly’, ‘sweets’ and ‘sports’), while alphabet icons allow you to spell out your message.
Maire Gallen of Tick Tock Trading commented: “Shains offer a totally new, innovative jewellery and accessory concept at reasonable price points. This is a young, fun and funky brand ideal for the gift, fashion and toy markets.”
Referring to the environmentally friendly nature of the products, Marie added: “The environmental ethos behind Shains is an integral part of the brand, and a percentage of net profits are donated to worthy environmental organisations.”
Icons in the Shains line are available in packs of four for around £1.50, or as an Elements Pack (30 pieces) for around £3.99. You can also pick up a starter kit that includes the basic bracelet plus 60 elements for around £8.50.
