Scrunch Bucket sets sights on the States
A great British success story is poised to conquer the United States as the Scrunch Bucket prepares to go on sale in America later this year.
Invented by British designers Catherine Porter and Kay Glennie of Funk-it Designs, the Scrunch Bucket first launched in the UK back in 2004 and is already being sold in 14 countries. UK distributor Treasure Trove Toys has been monitoring growing interest from across the Atlantic and feels the time is right to make the plunge into the huge American market.
“We have been working on taking this product across the Atlantic for some time now,” commented Treasure Trove’s Kim Carter, “as we know how much the Americans appreciate British brands – the quirkier the better.”
The Scrunch Bucket is made of flexible silicon, meaning it can be squashed down easily for packing and taking on holiday. Available in a range of eight bright colours, the Scrunch Bucket has also grown beyond its original design purpose.
“The Scrunch Bucket it is now also being marketed as a stylish interiors accessory, a camping accessory, a sailing essential and for gardens,” said Catherine Porter. “It’s even being used as a plumbers mate!”
