Toys R Us takes us to a ‘Magical Place’

You may notice something familiar about the latest Toys R Us advert when it screens on November 18. The megastore chain is running a revamped version of the classic ‘Magical Place’ advert from 1989.

The original advert has been viewed more than 200,000 times on YouTube and the new version should be a nostalgia trip for parents who first saw it 20 years ago.

“The Magical Place TV commercial has become synonymous with the success of Toys R Us,” said Mike Coogan, Toys R Us Marketing Director. “We are absolutely thrilled by the overwhelming interest we have received on YouTube and Facebook and are delighted to bring back this iconic commercial.

“It sums up everything that is magic about Christmas and parents who were kids when they first came to a Toys R Us store can re-live the experience with their own children.”
