Many are still made with polysyrene, but the ones that look like PlayMais essentially ARE PlayMais! I always save it for my kids to make models with - OK, it doesn't come in different colours but other than that it's just as good, and free! (If you're not sure whether the packaging peanuts you've got are the right ones, just wet one and see what happens. If it's polystyrene or similar material nothing will happen, if it's starch based "PlayMais" type material it will go soft) PlayMais is a great idea, but did you know that many of the packaging “peanuts” you get these days are actually exactly the same?
