Here come the girlz
Sweeping stylishly into the UK are the Moxie Girlz dolls from MGA Entertainment. The brand motto is ‘Be True! Be You!’ and the Moxie Girlz embody that with their funky outfits and their various hobbies and interests.
The word ‘Moxie’ itself comes from one of the first carbonated drinks in the US, and today it is synonymous with courage and energy. The bubbly personalities of the dolls aim to encourage girls to strive to reach their potential, and to be friendly, fun and individual.
The range consists of four doll figures with suitably unique names – gorgeous brunette Lexa, who is playful and creative, the energetic and determined blonde of the crew, Avery, friendly and clever Sasha and the lovable Sophina who wants to change the world.
Each doll has her own chic style, comes with a basic outfit and accessories (such as a skateboard for fun-loving Lexa and a laptop for serious Sophina) and is priced around £9.99.
The dolls are also available in any one of three themes –
Art-titude, Magic Hair and Jammaz.
The Art-titude dolls are priced around £19.99 and come with a bike and outfits that can be coloured in and personalised to create a unique look.
The Magic Hair sets (around £24.99) include a hairbrush, hair-twisting tool and loads of accessories, plus a torso to practise each style on before getting the included doll glammed up for her night out.
Jammaz is a musical theme, and the dolls, priced around £19.99 each, have their own guitar and accessories to transform them into music superstars.
The Moxie Girlz are suitable for children aged six and over and are available from leading toy stores. You can find out more about the range on the Moxie Girlz website.
