Are we there yet?

It is said that we spend the first few years of a child’s life teaching them to walk and talk, and the next few years telling them to sit down and be quiet. There is certainly nothing more irritating than the constant niggle of a bored child constrained to their seat for a long car journey, and so Tactic has come up with this simple solution.

Play in the Car 1 & 2 are packs which consist of a CD and 50 playing cards. Designed for children aged five upwards, when the CD is inserted into the car CD player you can choose from various games designed to distract, amuse and pass the time.

Activities include licence-plate spotting, looking for passing items starting with the letter given on the CD, and songs to sing, plus the cards can be used for a fun game of Traffic Bingo as you race to be the first to spot all of the items on your card. Each game takes at least ten minutes, and probably a lot longer. The ample opportunities these games provide for looking out of the window should keep the dreaded travel sickness to a minimum too.

Play in the Car 1 and 2 can be played by one child on their own, as well as a carful, and are priced at around £6.99 each.
