Foamfetti fun

Foamfetti is a versatile new modelling material from Learning Resources which is easy to work with and suitable for children aged five upwards.

The brightly-coloured malleable substance comes in a pack of ten pots for around £19.99 (or a pack of five for around £9.99) and is self-drying, so must be stored in the airtight containers between play sessions. A Fairy Tale Set, priced around £5.99, adds some softer shades of yellow, purple and pink to make magical models, and a Sports Set, priced around £5.99, includes bright red, green and blue for little sports fans to make their favourite team strip.

Foamfetti can stick to itself to make funky models, or to other materials such as wood, cardboard and paper to make a seemingly endless variety of decorated items. If you’re feeling unimaginative, it can also be rolled up into a ball and bounced. It’s completely non-toxic, and whilst we don’t recommend eating it, it’s good to know that any bits that stray into little tummies won’t do any harm.
