Take to the Streetz
Streetz is the new range of cars and construction sets from Mega Brands, which lets you join individual sets together to make a city where your micro scale cars can run riot.
The car wash, the construction site and even the donut shop are all playgrounds for these little cars, which feature Touch Command control for light, sound and movement effects. What’s more, the sets are easily customisable, so you can build the city you want.
The Streetz City Pursuit set tops the list, with a police station, bank and parking lot waiting to be enjoyed. A motorised police chopper is keeping an eye on things from the air, while a motorised Mobile Command vehicle (with light effects) takes care of business on the ground.
Will that be enough to curb the antics of the two stunt vehicles in the set – Black Widow and Amped Up? We wouldn’t bet on it. The Streetz City Pursuit set is priced around £34.99.
The Skycrane Tower (around £19.99), comes with a light FX dump truck and two stunt vehicles (Fang and Redline) as well as a speed ramp and booster. The construction site gives plenty of opportunities for outrageous stunts.
Fire Fury (also around £19.99) has a museum, a fire station and a restaurant, all of which are about to be seriously disturbed by Bones and Interceptor, the two stunt vehicles who are running amuck in this set. Crash into the fire station and Flameout, the light FX fire truck, will be released.
Smaller sets include Donut Dash (and who could resist leaping through that giant donut?), Spin Wash, Micro Motors and Gas ’N’ Go, each featuring one light FX vehicle and one stunt vehicle and priced around £9.99.
Jump Packs and Launch Packs each cost around £3.99. The Jump Packs come with three cars and a stunt ramp while the Launch Pack has two cars, a stunt ramp and a speed booster.
You can also add seven extra cars to your sets with the Car Collector Pack (around £7.99), which includes Bravata, Fury, Scorpius, Squad Dog, Old School, SGT and Skid Plate.
The new Streetz range is suitable for children aged six and up.
