Fight for survival

It’s always a risky business when you start resurrecting old grudges, and Jurassic Wars, the new dinosaur-themed card and dice game from Dice Maestro, resurrects some very old grudges indeed. Millions of years have passed since the dinosaurs last got to grips with each other, but they’re ready to rumble again.

Eye-catching graphics on the box cover and cards depict the 20 dinosaurs who are poised to do battle at your command. Players are dealt dinocards (they are evenly split into green herbivore and red carnivore types) and combat cards, which can influence the outcome of a battle.

Carefully choosing which cards to play, players then engage in head-to-head battles with their opponents’ dinosaurs. Combat dice are rolled and each battle progresses with the dinosaurs amassing hit points until one is eliminated.

The game then moves on until all players except one have lost all their dinosaurs in combat. You can also play different game versions, including Jurassic Wars Whist, Bluff, Underdog and even Poker.

Jurassic Wars is the second game developed by Dice Maestro (following last year’s Wildlife Rescue) and both games are manufactured entirely in the UK. What’s more, Dice Maestro will donate 5% of profits from Jurassic Wars to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Naomi House Children’s Hospice.
