A Right Royal LaughPicture the scene: It’s Saturday afternoon in Buckingham palace. The corgis have been walked and the red carpet’s been vacuumed, but it’s ages till Strictly Come Dancing starts, so the Royal Family decides it’s time to break out a board game.

But does Queen Elizabeth II know the name of Britney Spears’s debut single, or who scored the last goal of the 2006 FIFA World Cup? We suggest that Her Majesty – and anyone else who’s bored with general knowledge games – might like to check out A Right Royal Laugh.

This trivia game from Tactic contains 1,800 questions based on the Royal Family and is suitable for players aged 12 and over. There are five questions and answers on each card, split into categories called ‘In The Public Eye’, ‘Did I Really Say That’ (we’re guessing that some people may dominate this category), ‘The Royals at Home’ and ‘Famous Occasions’.

A Right Royal Laugh is packed with information about the Royal Family, including the sort that could cause giggles for us and blushes for them, and is suitable for two to six players. The game takes upwards of 45 minutes to complete – so will easily fill the void between corgi-walking and Strictly – and costs around £19.99.
