Battle Deck is the new racing system from Tomy, in which you can collect, customise and battle cars that harness the powers of wild animals.
There are four clans in the Battle Deck world – Tiger, Shark, Phoenix and Dragon. With three cars in each clan you have 12 to collect, but that’s just the start.
Each car is made up of three sections – chassis, engine and bumper – and you can mix and match sections from different cars to create your own hybrid racers. Simply stack up your three chosen sections, click them together and your car is complete.
Each section of the cars has its own strengths. The chassis sections are rated for defensive power, the engine sections for speed and the bumper sections for offensive power.
You can opt to build a lightweight, speedy hybrid, or a powerful car that will be slower, but tough to beat in battle. The choice is yours as you attempt to create the ultimate pull-back car and destroy the opposition.
Battle Deck cars are sold individually for around £4.99, and you can race them on the floor, in the playground or on special Battle Deck raceways.
The Super Raceway has high-speed corners and a lane-change straight and comes with two exclusive Dragon and Phoenix clan cars that are not available separately. It is priced around £19.99.
The Mega Raceway has two lane-change sections and extra corners to offer a stiffer challenge. Exclusive Tiger and Shark clan cars are included and the set is priced around £29.99.
The Battle Deck range is suitable for children aged six and older.
