Pippin takes his place with the legends
Last year we reported on 11-year-old Oliver Jones, who won immortality for his horse, Pippin. Oliver won a competition organised by Breyer that would see one ordinary (but much-loved) horse join the fabled ranks of Breyer’s Traditional Series.
One year on, the model of Pippin is completed and has taken its place alongside such legendary horses as Red Rum, Seabiscuit and Milton.
“I think the model is so cool and looks just like Pippin,” said a delighted Oliver after being presented with the first hand-crafted model of his 21-year-old blue roan Connemara pony.
“The fact that it is my pony is the best thing and I feel very proud. I know now I will have him forever.”
You too can now own Pippin, at a cost of around £26.90. A percentage of all sales will go to The Pony Club
