Meccano Tuning range gets added bling

Two new cars have burst into the Meccano Tuning range – and they’re not exactly shy.

Leading the way is the Tuning RC Sound System, which can connect to an MP3 player and blast out your favourite music through its built-in speaker. With 345 parts, the set can be made up into three different remote-controlled vehicles, with flashing front and rear lights and neon glow under-lighting.

There are onboard sound effects including screeching tyres and a roaring engine, as well as rock and hip hop tracks in case you don’t have an MP3 player handy. For kids aged eight and older, the Tuning RC Sound System comes with stickers and chrome wheel rims and is priced around £59.99.

The Tuning RC Red Hot Racer is priced around £29.99 and can be made into two different remote-controlled vehicles (there are 168 parts). Flaming stickers, a rear aerofoil and chrome wheel rims add to the impact and the set is also suitable for the eight-and-up age group.
