Planet Cook toys

Planet CookFans of Channel 4’s Planet Cook will soon have a range of toys based on the popular TV show. Licensing company Performance Brands has been appointed the licensing agent for the kids’ cookery programme, and target markets include toys and games, personal electronics and publishing.

Planet Cook, produced by Platinum Films, aims to teach youngsters how to cook and eat more healthily and is particularly relevant given the current concerns over childhood obesity. Celebrity chef Kevin Woodford stars as Captain Cook, who helps his team of Cook Cadets prepare tasty recipes with a little help from Bouma the yeti and Roxy the supercomputer. With dishes like ‘Erupting Volcano Surprise’ and ‘Dinosaur Calzone’ on the menu, it’s clear Planet Cook is offering a new spin on cookery.

“Not only is Planet Cook extraordinarily popular with kids – parents, schools and retailers are also totally enthused by the positive message about making cooking fun,” commented Mike Clark of Performance Brands. “This gives us a very strong platform from which to develop a truly groundbreaking licensing programme.”

I’m so worried about the way our love ones are headed in nowadays. Watching Jamie Olivers food revolution tv show scared the thingies out of me. I suggest we all start cooking some healthy recipes at home if we’re going to fix this horrible situation.
