It’s kids’ play with Meccano

Meccano’s Kids Play range has been boosted by the arrival of five new kits to get youngsters started in the construction game.

New Caterpillar and Ladybird sets offer the easiest way into Meccano, each using a small number of flexible colourful pieces with big bolts and screws to assemble a bug-eyed critter. They are priced around £6.99 each.

The new Kids Play Large Assortment builds on the theme, but each of these bigger sets can be built into three models. Butterfly, Snake and Penguin sets are priced around £7.99 each.

“All the core values of Meccano are present in the Kids Play range, which challenges children as young as two years to create something for themselves,” says Meccano’s Sue Barratt.

“Kids Play is a great introduction to Meccano for both toddlers and parents.”
