Playmobil orders up a dozen

Playmobil has called in the reinforcements, launching no fewer than 12 new special characters.

There’s a split in the themes this year, with six of the new figures having a distinctly warlike theme and the remainder pursuing more peaceful occupations.

Highlighting this split is the Cossack Soldier, who looks rather fierce with his sword, spear and dagger – not to mention the devilish look on his face.

The Cossack is joined by a Guard, a Massai Warrior, a Swan Knight, a Skull Pirate and an Arabian Warrior. We would advise against leaving this lot in a room together unattended.

The new additions are completed by a Woman with Float, a Construction Worker, a Child’s First Day at School set, a Woman with Puppies, an Expedition Diver and a Fairy with Unicorn.

Each of the new specials is priced around £2.00.
