Hasbro’s Nerf arsenal has been boosted by the addition of two formidable new weapons. Leading the charge is the N-Strike Switch EX-3, a two-in-one blaster that can fire foam darts or be converted to hold a Wii remote for cool gameplay.

In Nerf mode, this powerful blaster can launch whistling sonic micro darts a distance of 35 feet, which should be enough to nail any enemies who aren’t smart enough to start running immediately. The Switch EX-3 is suitable for children of six years and older and is priced around £12.99.

The N-Strike Recon CS-6 lets you build a customised blaster by mixing five interchangeable parts. Starting with the “tactical rail”, you can add a shoulder stock for a surer aim, and swap your magazine for a drum feed for extra ammo. You can even use a flip-up sight and dual-mode light beam for deadly accuracy during night missions. The end result is certain victory, for which you will pay around £21.99.
