Bachmann tops the polls

Bachmann Europe is celebrating a hatful of awards from the Model of the Year poll, organised by Model Rail Magazine and online model railway websites RM Web and MREMAG.

As well as scooping the overall prize for Manufacturer of the Year, Bachmann was also named N Gauge Manufacturer Of The Year and added five more awards from the remaining 12 categories.

The categories (and winning entries) were: Best OO Diesel or Electric Locomotive/Unit (Prototype Deltic for NRM); Best OO Steam Locomotive (Class G2/2a Super D); Best OO Steam Era Wagon (12 ton ventilated van); Best N Gauge Diesel or Electric Locomotive/Unit (Class 108 dmu); and Best N Gauge Rolling Stock (Stanier coaches).

“We are delighted with the results and thank all those who voted for us,” said Bachmann’s Graham Hubbard. “Feedback such as this is vitally important to us as manufacturers and reassures us that we are heading in the right direction across all our product ranges. We are, however, far from complacent and we aim to do even better next year”.
