A marriage made in heaven

Love is in the air in the new Wedding range from Playmobil. Everything is here to create a perfect day for two lucky Playmobil figures.

The Church leads the way, with working bells and organ music, as well as vicar and happy couple figures. The church stands 56cm high and includes stained glass windows and pews for guests to watch the ceremony. The Playmobil Church is priced around £39.99.

For those who favour a more modern approach to matrimony, the Pavilion is available to host the wedding ceremony. A delightful outdoor location sees another couple tying the knot under the sun, with flowers, red carpet and champagne on ice to mark the event. The Pavilion is also priced around £39.99 and both sets come with child-size rings.

The Wedding Car is a sporty convertible with a big bow across the bonnet and tin cans attached at the rear (thank the Best Man for that). The boot can be opened to store luggage and the car is festooned with flowers. A couple of newlyweds complete the set, which is priced around £16.99.

The Wedding Guests in Party Tent look like they’re in no hurry to leave – and why would they be with so much food and drink available? The chef has whisked up a table full of goodies and a spectacular cake, as well as glasses of bubbly. There’s a table of presents as well and the set is priced around £14.99.

Three smaller sets complete the range. A Piano Player (around £8.99) is on hand to tickle the ivories into the wee hours (or at least until those guests in the party tent clear off), a Photographer with Flower Girl and Ringbearer (around £7.99) is ready to capture the big event on film and another Bridal Couple with Wedding Cake (around £7.99) are only too happy to join in the fun.
