It’s all in the mind

We usually confine our attention to events in the UK, but murmurs from across the Pond proved too much to resist this week as a really startling story came out of the Toy Fair in New York.

Mindflex Games is showcasing a new toy that, apparently, lets you move objects with the power of your mind. Having quickly checked the date to make sure it isn’t April 1, we have to say this really looks like a remarkable product.

A headset carries built-in sensors that detect activity in your brain. Concentrate hard enough and you can trigger a stream of air that causes a foam ball to rise, as if by magic, into the air. With practice you can learn to manoeuvre the ball around an obstacle course.
