Toy Fair preview: Smoby

Smoby will be using the Toy Fair to showcase its new range of toys based on the forthcoming Disney movie G-Force.

While the name may trigger Battle of the Planets flashbacks for readers of a certain age, the new G-Force film (scheduled for a summer 2009 UK release) is actually about a crime-fighting team of elite… guinea pigs, with vocal talent including Nicolas Cage and Penelope Cruz.

The Smoby toy range will include a radio-controlled vehicle, action figures and huge cuddly toys, as well as a Training Laboratory playset.

“We are delighted to be involved with this range,” said Smoby’s Gary Wood. “Our focus at Excel is firmly on G-Force. We’ll be presenting everything the film has to offer.”
