ChuggingtonRC2 has announced that its Learning Curve brand will be launching a range of toys based on the hit CBeebies show Chuggington.

The animated programme features a cast of railway engines, known as “Chuggers”, and is aimed at pre- and early-school children.

Learning Curve“Television ratings and focus groups have already shown that Chuggington resonates with and delights young children and their mothers,” said Peter Henseler, President of RC2 Corporation. “We are developing innovative play and learning products that tap into the multi-faceted aspects of this brand.”

  11. My 2 year old boy is obsessed with it. No other TV programme can come close (even Thomas The Tank – & believe me that's saying something). I am genuinely astonished by the dearth of Chuggers toys & the missed opportunity on this, particularly given the overabundance of completely useless tat that we are swamped with by the toy industry nowadays.

I can't believe it is taking them so long to come out with chuggington toys. i think they have missed the trick on this one. christmas 2009 would have been long enough to keep the little ones waiting.

  15. Like other commenter's I also have a little boy who is utterly obsessed with Chuggington or "Chooo Chooo" as he calls it! Its a real shame they couldn't get "something" out for Christmas, hopefully they will surprise us with a nice chuggington something or other for our little chuggers for Christmas!

I can understand to an extent the delay in getting the toys out on the shelves, toys have to go through rigorous testing nowadays and they need to be good quality, hopefully we won't be disappointed!

  16. Forget the kids…..I love Chuggington and I'm a Mum of 8 month old twin boys. They adore it. The only programme they pay any attention too.

  17. Thank goodness I'm not the only mum out there searching for chugginton toys! My little girl loves chuggers, she shouts chugg chugg chugg & dances round when they come on, she loves it so much. She is 2 soon & I wanted to buy her toys for her birthday or better still christmas!

  18. My 20 month old son loves Chuggington, he just has to hear the theme tune and he sits down ready to watch. Can't wait until the toys are available to buy, just a shame it will be too late for his birthday in February. I also hope they are very well made toys and won't break when dropped by a small child.

  19. my wee one is a huge thomas fan and is becoming an even bigger little chugger cant wait to get a hold of brewster koko and wilson plz plz lz get these toys out asap and give us poor mums and grandparents some respite

  20. Mum of Chugger Nutter

People do you think we might be talking up the price? We've been waiting a whole year to get our hands on these little peices of plastic which look something like the characters on our childrens favourite programme. It seems that we may feel the delay in our pockets, as RC2 are certain to know how much pester power costs us.
I intend to start saving now before I'm taken to the Chugwash (the cleaners).

  21. Mum of number one chuggington Fan!

I am so relived that there are so many parents looking for chuggington toys too! My 4 year old son loves chuggington and wants the chuggington toys for Christmas. I hope he's not going to be too heartbroken and that Father Christmas still says that he been a very good boy this year. I can't believe that RC2 has failed to produce toys for the most popular new children's programme this year in time for Christmas. It is a small comfort tho that they have lost out too!

  22. chuggington toy searcher

i love chuggington, so does my 6 year old… it seems so very slow organising the toys… we want chuggington toys.

  23. Mum of Chugger Fan

I would have loved some Chuggington toys for my son for xmas, never mind will have to make do with DVDs and the few books and the annual that I've seen. He already loves the magazine and the freebies with it. He loves thomas too but the chuggers are a lot more animated.

  24. Mum of two chugger fans (4 and 9!)

My two boys love Chuggington and all the 4 year old wants for Christmas is his own set of CHugginton Trains. Most disappointed that there will not be any out in time for christmas this year.

  25. my 2 year old daughter is going to be so dissappointed as she is asking santa for chuggington toys, really thought they'd be out for xmas sales.

  26. I've contacted the people at learning Curve to see if I can get any further information on these toys and I'll post an update as soon as I hear anything!

  27. my lil bro loves it he is alway asking my mum to put it on and never stops talking about it

  28. great news chuggington toys are on the way my children loves the show . my youngest child even dances to the theme music. we have started to collect chuggington items for our children to appreciate and treasure for when they are older. well done for bringing us chuggington to our screens and long may it continue.

  29. These toys are too late, my son is now into something else. A year ago I would have bought him everything in the shop as he was so desperate for the toys.

As far as I am concerned, they have missed the biggest window that there ever was as I am sure there are a lot of kids feeling the same now.

  30. can't wait for the toys, but having to wait too long? check out ebay & craigslist for toys to buy now.
