Two new cars are available from Scalextric, offering very different racing experiences. The Lamborghini Gallardo is a sleek speed machine that can reach a top speed of 196 miles per hour. The Scalextric version is part of the company’s ‘Super-resistant’ range and is ideal for both beginners and expert drivers.
In golden metallic yellow, the Gallardo weighs in at 70gm, with an 80mm wheel base. It can be converted using the C8515 Digital Plug and comes with adjustable Magnatraction and quick-change guide braid plate.
The Range Rover needs no introduction and has been produced both in police and street livery. The street car shown has a huge amount of interior detail, including a full-length driver and dashboard and instrument panel detail.
It comes with Magnatraction, with magnet positions for driver choice, lights front and rear, a quick-change braid plate and a ‘Digital Plug Ready’ underpan (DPR), allowing for change of the digital chip in less than a minute.
The Lamborghini is priced around £17, while the Range Rover costs around £30. (Drift versions of theses cars feature in Scalextric’s Street Pursuit set.)
