Playmobil to the rescue!
Got an emergency? Fear not, because the new Playmobil Rescue theme is on hand and it looks ready to tackle anything.
The theme features some exciting new features, including flashing lights on all vehicles, and is headlined by the Medical ’Copter, which has rotating blades and a working winch. A knob is used to control the rotors and sound effects, while the cockpit, two doors and the rear section open for loading up the sick and injured.
A pilot, winchman and gurney are included, as is a landing pad for the helicopter, and the set costs around £19.99.
The Ambulance set also costs around £19.99 and comes with two paramedics and a little boy on a bike (that’s an accident waiting to happen). The top of the ambulance lifts off and there is a sliding side door and opening rear doors. Medical equipment and a gurney with collapsible legs complete the set.
The Emergency Vehicle (around £16.99) is for smaller-scale rescues and comes with a paramedic driver and medical gear. The bonnet and rear door both open and the roof can be lifted off for easier access.
Moving on to the smaller sets, the Emergency Motorbike (around £5.99) can get to an accident in double-quick time and comes with a paramedic rider.
The Rescue Unit (around £5.99) has a pair of rescue dogs and two mountain rescue medics, equipped with walkie-talkies, a backpack and a tracking unit.
The Doctor (around £3.99) comes with a baby in a mobile incubator, as well a case of medical supplies. There are holes in the incubator for comforting the baby, and she can be removed when she feels better.
Finally, the Wheelchair and Patient costs around £3.99 and includes a carer and a rather nifty looking wheelchair with foldable footrests.
The Playmobil Rescue theme is available now.
